In spring of 2019, Peter Dalsgaard visited the studio over several days to examine not only how we maintain our huge archive of ideas, processes, artworks, and publications, but also how the studio – as a collection of minds storing a plurality of knowledges – itself operates as a complex, live archive. He addresses the question of how archives can play an active role in the ongoing processes in an organisation or creative practice. How do uncertainty and negotiation factor into working processes and structures? Where is the interplay of digital and analogue modes? And what is ‘the human archive’?
