Eliasson’s film ‘Innen Stadt Aussen‘ (Inner City Out) follows the journey of a mirror mounted on a truck being driven through Berlin. Exhibited in the exhibition of the same name at the Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin, in 2010, this artwork is among the works in the exhibition that traversed the boundary between the spaces within the museum’s walls and the city beyond – when being filmed, it brought an artwork into the city’s streets; when exhibited, it brought the city into the gallery.
